Box Hill Institute, Building 3 Entry Refurbishment

A new entry focus point to the campus and a supersized glazed arch and sign that seemingly supports the bridge over into a total composition that spans the road, creating a fully accessible gateway.

Behind the facade is a vibrant youth space, leading to a new 5 storey atrium skinned in an ETFE membrane, providing cool filtered daylight transforming a cold damp courtyard into a new gathering space at the heart of the campus. The project is a modest transformation of 1970’s space and an example re-lifting of extracting tertiary education infrastructure.
