Owen Dixon East

Full refurbishment of Owen Dixon Chambers East , the headquarters of BCL, consists of 12 floors of chambers, approximately 350 chambers in total, and one floor for The Essoign Club, Libraries, Moot Courts and meeting and conference facilities.

The conversion of this typical office building addressed the upgrade of all services. The focus of the design was to provide up to date accommodation for the existing tenants, focusing on high quality finishes in the lobby and common areas. The use of stone and timber in these areas was to reflect the identity of the legal fraternity. Refurbishment proceeded on a staged basis to maintain occupancy of the building.

The conversion of this existing typical office building needed to address a number of critical issues including sound attenuation, detailed planning to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

Full refurbishment of Barristers Chambers Limited Headquarters.

The project includes facade refurbishment, upgrade of existing plans and delivery of an integrated fit out.

The conversion of this existing typical 1960’ s office building needed to address a number of critical issues including sound attenuation, detailed planning to ensure privacy and confidentiality as well as a highly efficient facade. The project was completed whilst the building remained fully operational.

The Essoign Club

The Essoign is a private club located in Owen Dixon Chambers consisting of a restaurant and bar. The restaurant provides cafe and al-a-carte dining for up to 220 persons on a daily basis or special functions catering up to 400 persons.

The design optimises eastern vantages of the floor, where natural light and views of William Street and the Supreme Court are pre-eminent.
