Spowers Design Director, Nigel Fitton, gets involved with the latest E2 reinvention workshop – E-2 Fishermans Bend (Vimeo).
Building on the success of the inaugural ‘Reinvention’ series, this year’s E2 workshop focused on Fishermans Bend in Melbourne. The workshop engaged leading practitioners, organisations, businesses and stakeholders in a format, which is designed to generate innovative thinking.
Running over two days, the workshop was broken into four sessions with five teams led by representatives from Grimshaw Architects, RMIT, Urbis and e2. Following an opening speech by the CEO of the Committee for Melbourne, director of strategy for Place Associates, David Grant, facilitated the morning section, focusing on existing constraints and opportunities, and the afternoon examining solutions to ensure a world-class precinct.
