Senior Associate, Quality Assurance Manager

John has been with Spowers since 1984 and is a Senior Associate.

John’s primary role is of Project Architect, managing a number of projects from small fit-outs to large scale laboratory, and apartment building, educational projects, managing teams or working independently depending on the scale of the project. His strength is to follow projects through from conception to completion. He has also been involved with custodial projects which included a period of secondment to the Department of Justice to assist in writing a brief for new prisons for Victoria.

John has a further and important role as Quality Manager for Spowers. This responsibility includes managing the system of quality control and general drawing office procedures. John rewrote the Office Procedures Manual which incorporates all required aspects of the Australian Standard and expanded it to include all aspects
of the operation of the office including incorporating the requirements of Standards for Environmental Management Systems 14001.

As part of our collaboration with our overseas offices, John has been involved in working with them creating standards for construction which has been incorporated in documentation of a number of multi residential developments.
