Green Initiatives
Developed as an oasis within the desert, some environmentally sustainable initiatives developed include:
- In-ground bore holes – to take advantage of the stable sub-terrain temperature sink.
- Mixed mode mechanical systems with heat recovery.
- Water recycling, managed commissioning strategies.
- Passive and active cooling through thermal mass.
- Shading through balconies.
- Loggias and trellis planting to the rooms.
- Optimisation of daylight for illumination and use of local and low “e” materials.
